West Ham & The Champions League
Could we?

Never thought it was possible before but the way teams like Man Utd, Liverpool & Everton are dropping off and Leicester possibly finding the second half of the season a bit more difficult especially now they are starting to get injuries could we sneak into 4th spot by season's end?

If Payet stays fit, Lanzini comes back soon and we maybe get another forward in during the window then I really think it's possible.

Re: West Ham & The Champions League
All depends on the fitness of our star players. Confident we will finish in the top 8. Could well do much better. Why not? As somebody else mentioned the so called big teams are nowhere near as far ahead of the pack as they usually are.

Yes we could reach the top 4. But as everyone else has said it would require us to sign a striker who started scoring goals immediately on signing. For that reason, I don't think we will.

Couldn't agree more, we are a decent striker short of giving it a real go. Without that I think we'll struggle. Arsenal and Man City will be in there and I hate to say it but I think so will Spurs. We need to hope that Leicester drop off and even then we'd have to come above Man U which will be tough.

Top 6 will be a fantastic achievement this year.

Imagine if we had a striker like Kane?

I seriously think we'd finish top 4 if we did.

i'm trying not to get ahead of myself but we at least have a chance. Leicester will surely fall away and we must have used up all our injury bad luck??

my biggest concern is that man utd and liverpool will stengthen in january. now is the time for us to act - take that summer transfer budget and use some of it now.

I don't get this FA Cup over top 4..... BOTH surely!

Apart from us and Leicester the other sides have the distraction of Europe. I see no reason why we can't keep on what we are doing, keep Payet fit and we can finish top 4.

We'd also have post match interviews being stumbled out by a bloke trying his upmost not to cover the other fella holding the mic with flob

Bilic recently said something along the lines of he would rather win the FA cup than finish in the top 4.

I agree with that 100%.

We'd be higher now if Sakho had been fit all season.

CFC will start climbing the table strongly...but making top four is unlikely.
I think Hiddink will target the FA CUP..he won it last time he was there.
He's a shrewd operator..and winning the FA CUP will placate their fans a bit.

I hope he fails miserably though..obviously!

You mean against teams lower down in the league, the type of teams that we have struggled against this season whilst beating the bigger/better teams??

You have to keep winning games. Dont look any further than the next game and win it.

that's how the bookies see it too - with leicester, liverpool, chelsea & us behind them.

i think we'll finish above liverpool & chelsea.

Re: West Ham & The Champions League
Chelsea wont be anywhere near the top 4, if they were to hit form they could possibly finish inside the top 10 but that's about it

Leicester would have to dramatically tail off to finish outside the top 4 and Spurs should still have enough in them to end up a good 6,7 points ahead of the chasing pack with ourselves involved

Re: West Ham & The Champions League
top 4 probably bit beyond us although best shot for some time with Chelsea, Liverpool and Man Utd being so poor

I'd love top 6, which if we take 5-7 points from the next 3 i think should be the target injuries depending
